This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I joined this site largely so I could follow the work accentmarkd posts, and then I realized I could maybe post things too.
I'm not a poet or a photographer, although I may occasionally post poems and photography.
I am a classicist. Which means I translate. It sounds boring, but the more I translate, the more I realize it IS an art. To take poems written in the two most perfect languages in the history of the world (in my opinion) and not only be able to read and understand them myself, but to try and represent them to people who can't read them as they originally are, is quite a task.
I am a fledgling translator, and many of my translations will be refined as I go back. At present, they will almost all be of Catullus poems...he's my favorite author, I have a better feel for him than most, and I just took a class on him.
I claim no credit for the original works...only the language in which you read them.
we could be those people. this needs to happen. a lot!
